Friday is here and our cinema halls will have two extremities on the screens…

While one is about maa-beti relationship, the other features four cons. While one film is helmed by a lady filmmaker, Gurinder Chaddha, who is known for her crossover films, the other one is a directorial debut of actor Parmeet Sethi.

‘It’s A Wonderful Afterlife’ (aka ‘Hai Marjawaan’ - Hindi version) and ‘Badmaash Company’ hits the screens today (7th May) and both of which are poles apart indeed in terms of looks and genre.

From the maker of ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ and ‘Bride And Prejudice’, IAWA brings back the desi-English mix of culture, with marriage taking its usual place in backdrop – a theme regular in Chaddha’s movie.

On the other hand, Yash Raj Films introduces four youngsters who are hungry to make money by doing all the wrong things… the right way! Featuring the combination of Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma along with Meiyang Chang and Vir Das for the first time, the promos of ‘Badmaash Company’ surely looks promising.

Now let’s wait for the box office verdict….
